Involvement in Peruvian Politics

Starting in December 2015 and through March 2016 I had an active participation in the electoral campaign for the general elections of April 10, 2015. Accompanying presidential candidate Julio Guzmán and the political party Todos por el Perú (Everyone for Peru), I launched my candidacy for member of Congress. However, due to minor administrative problems, in February 2016 the Electoral Board annulled the registration of our political party, which prevented us from participating in the elections. This decision, which has been widely questioned nationally and internationally, was based in legal norms that are inconsistent, excessively detailed and subject to interpretation. As a result, none of the candidate from Todos por el Perú is taking part in the elections.
