Forty years of the Science and Technology Policy (STPI) Project

During August 3-7 there was a meeting in Lima to celebrate 40 years of the STPI Project, which explored the design and implementation of science and technology policies for development. This project included ten national teams and was carried out between 1973 and 1979. Participants in the meeting were the coordinators of the STPI country teams and the members of the STPI Coordinating Secretariat, as well as researchers working in science, technology and innovation policies. The objective was to examine the impact of the STPI project and the future perspectives of research in this field.
