Singer, conductor, composer, arranger and educator, with a solid academic background in jazz and other musical styles, Monica Gastelumendi presents in this concert a preview of the songs included in her next CD. After launching her first record, Jugar a la Vida, which shows her versatility as interpreter, composer and arranger, Monica has continued developing new projects in choral music, jazz and teaching.

In this occasion, Monica will sing six songs composed by Francisco Sagasti, who in a rather different vein from his usual professional and academic endeavors, shows us his interest in popular music. His compositions span a diversity of styles from Peruvian waltz and ballads, to Portuguese fado and Argentinian samba, going through songs influenced by American pop and European marches.
